TOC Afrique
The continental selection tournament
Fourth edition. Agadir, September 22 to 24, 2026. Two competitions run to international standards, held to the same level of demand.
A point of passage
TOC Afrique is not an event in the conventional sense. It is a defining step in the path of professionals seeking to measure their level against recognised benchmarks.
Through the Bocuse d'Or Africa and the Pastry World Cup, TOC Afrique forms the continental selection phase leading to the world finals. A level of demand that reaches beyond the local frame, and that calls for precision, consistency and control.
But what truly defines TOC Afrique is not limited to the competition. It is the ability to bring together, within a single space, every dimension of the profession: the product, the gesture, the equipment, the environment, and the way it all comes together under real conditions.
TOC Afrique does not set out to demonstrate. It puts to the test.
Identity as a strength
Some stages were built around long-established reference points. Familiar products, settled practices, controlled environments. Africa moves differently. With a wealth that is more diffuse, at times less formalised, but no less real. Multiple terroirs, materials, gestures and cultures that do not ask to be reproduced, but to be understood.
The point is not to fall into line. It is to bring out a way of expressing. To find a rightness that does not copy, but holds.
The Agadir edition
For its 2026 edition, TOC Afrique has chosen Agadir. A choice that is not only about a setting, but about a territory.
The event will take place at the Fairmont Taghazout Bay, on Taghazout Bay, a few minutes from Agadir.
Agadir stands today as one of the major hubs of national tourism development. An open city, turned towards hospitality, holding within it a direct relationship between its resources, its environment and the uses it makes of them.
But beyond its tourism vocation, it is also a region. An anchorage. Terroirs. A diversity of products and know-how that contribute, in concrete terms, to the culinary identity of the Kingdom.
Each edition of TOC Afrique is part of a travelling dynamic, with the ambition of allowing different territories to measure themselves against these standards and to project their own potential on a wider scale.
